Julie, have you tried Rides across America? I know they usually do rescue transports from state to state. I have no idea if they would a sale of a puppy. You might at least try. This is one of the things hubby and I want to do when he retires. You might see if there is anyone in your area with a motorhome going to'Vegas or Phoenix for the summer.

I once got a basset figure transpored from Florida to Ca. this way.

You will be amazed how many older people would love to help out. Contact your Senior Center as well.

I did a search to find a group for transporting because I wanted to help any way I could. I found a wonderful one for Florida..maybe you can find one for Ohio or LV. A lot of them have yahoo groups so you might want to start there. I wouldn't put anything breed specific because you will have a larger chance of finding one if you just put "dog" "rescue" or something like that it. I will look on Yahoo and see if I can find something. I do know that most only do rescues but maybe you can find someone to help in this particular situation. Believe me, if i could get transport for one of your hounds to me, I would try to get Mr. Wiggins in a heartbeat!!
