I thought I would add some pics of Lily! About 4 weeks old with her grandmomma holding her: Her first christmas at about 6 weeks. Before she came to us! This is her now modeling a dress sent by Harley and Bella's mommies: And one right after playing:

She is definately a heartbreaker. How could anyone resist that face? You've got a beautiful baby on your hands.

Lillian is at her friend Lulu's (a basset girl) house down the street playing and I came to look at her pictures cuz I miss her. Ok, ok, she has only been gone about 30 minutes but I am not used to her not being here!!

Well, she was at Lulu's house for about 2 hours and LOVED every second of it. She came home so tired that she ate her dinner laying down..lol. Then she went potty and promptly fell asleep on her favorite pillow and is still there..LOL. I love having Lulu just down the street. Her owners are GREAT and love Lily.

That is wonderful. I know you were talking about going on a trip and was looking for someone to take care of her----is Lulu the one?

Actually, the person that we found is a volunteer for Suncoast Basset Rescue. I had called her to ask if she had any recommendations for pet sitters or kennels and she volunteered to do it. She has met Lily and just loves her. But then she is a Basset! Who wouldn't?? LOL.
Today when they dropped Lily off, they said they would watch her any time we needed. I think that tomorrow on our walk I might stop by and ask if they wanna do a swap on sitting.

That is a great ideai---I'm sure they know that Lulu would be in great hands.
Does Lily walk well on her leash? With Lexie, we only walk in the yard and of course she has to smell everything. I tried earlier in Lexie's life to walk our neighborhood but---I had to carry her home! Funny huh?

We had to carry Lily home a couple of times too..lol. I just kept taking her every day and figuring out how far she could go without getting tired. At first it was only about two blocks but now she can go about 6 blocks before she starts whining and wanting to come home. Lily's favorite walk though is around and around the house! She just loves our yard.
