I just called to check on her and was told that she was standing up, doing well and has provided entertainment for the staff. I will get to pick her up tomorrow and I can't wait to see that lovely face. Thanks for asking!

Lexie is home! She has one little pink stitch on her belly. The doc said she did great! They gave her remidel for the pain. I noticed that she does a little tiny yelp so she much be in some pain. I got her out of her crate long enough to pee, have a Bil-Jac peanut butter treat (her fav) and a drink of water and put her back in. I'm so protectove that I don't want her jumping any. I'd rather that she slept for the next few days than tug at her stitch.

I am glad she is home now!! ;D You are probably right to keep her calm so that her stitches can heal. Just be sure you give her lots of love and kisses and keep us updated on how she is feeling.

This has not slowed Lexie down at all. Right now, she is in the back yard and is just as content as she can be. We put a chain on her and she doesn't seem to mind. I'm hoping that before summer she will have free run of the back--dang it is expensive to purchase a fence

I wish we could get a fence too but like you said, WAY expensive. We would have to get a shadowbox fence due to the restrictions of the homeowner's association and it would be about $2500 just for materials. Next time we will look for a place that alread has a fence.
