What plans do you have with your Basset this weekend? Our town of Ocean Springs, Mississippi is having it's Annual[glow=green,2,300]Herb Festival[/glow] Now all you people over 30.. I don't mean like some big "Smoke Out" that most of us can't seem to remember in the first place My kids should LOVE this festival. Lots of scents to be sniffed! Plus live bands, Vendors, food booths.. Oh yeah,, "Food Booths" The unique thing about our city is they have these wonderful festivals all year long. * Mardi Gras Parade * Herb, Garden & Music Festival * Earth Day Festival * Renaissance Faire * 1699 Landing of D'Iberville Re-Enactment * Trade Days Festival * Ocean Springs Elks Fishing Rodeo * ArtWalk * Firemen's Day Parade * Cruisin’ The Coast * Peter Anderson FestivalThe Peter Anderson Festival brings in over to 100,000 people from as far as Canada each year. Very Huge Event!

Well, not much going on at my house this weekend after today. Today is my Baby's first birthday!!! My little Allison Marie is one year old. ;D Her Daddy is out to sea but he told her that she isn't 0 anymore....lol. We are gonna have a little party with balloons and cake and stuff this afternoon and if it is warm enough will go to the pool which she loves to do. It has been really hot here but yesterday was a bit cool. Gotta love Florida..lol. As far as this weekend, I was supposed to help transport a GS dog that was coming out of a Miami shelter into a rescue but she got adopted! YAY! So I hadn't made any plans. Here is Miss Ally, my little baby is growing fast.... On Christmas With Daddy on Christmas

What a beautifuil little girl Happy Birthday sweetie.
Nothing planned this weekend, but next is full. One of my basset friends in Hawaii is coming to Napa to see her sister. We have met the last two years at the Basset Bash in Atlanta. Due to family illness I will not be able to attend this year and I want to try and go to the Nationals in Portland. Napa is only about 15 miles from here. Soooooooo She and I will travel with the hounds to Sacramento and meet another basset friend who is driving down from Reno for a "mini waddle". Nice picnic in the park and then visit, visit, visit. Can't wait.

From Hawaii?? Wish I would have known her when we lived there (we've moved about a year ago)...would have been nice to meet some basset people there. We didn't have a basset there or any other dog for that matter, but had already decided on a Basset Hound to be the breed we would have when we moved back to the mainland. Enjoy your visit! Tell her I said Aloha and she is welcome to join the OHana here at BF!
