I'm telling you people HARLEY NEEDED SOME OF THOSE 70's HERBS! ! ! OMG it was like walking a team of mules with them two? They've been doing so good on our walks around the house but get them downtown and he just went into idiot mode! At one point Harley was actually "Digging in" Man that hound has some power in them little legs! Still had fun but now I need a nap and the doctor to relocate my shoulder.

That cracks me up. I just asked Betty if Lily would walk good on a leash and then you post this. We need to keep practicing with the gentle lead before I attempt to take Lexie out for a walk.

I feel your pain. This was taken today as we came home from our walk. I usually take all three on a triple lead, but hubby was with me today. So it was Sadie and LInus on a double and Ben on a single. Hubby handed Ben over to me for the picture. Three is a handful no matter what. Maybe that is why my right arm is 4 inches longer than my left. ;D

That is way cool------How do you do it? What is your trick? Does it come with age or do I need to be doing something different?

Yes, I'm laughing out loud. Brick chit house, huh? I'm not sure that my shoulder can take it. I already have to get a monthly massage for shoulder problems and now hearing Lonnie talk, his pull his shoulder out of place. I should have gotten a hamster---KIDDIN!

I am sure it was a lot of fun! Actually taking them to more crowded places more often would be the best way to get them ready. Try the pet store first! <evil grin>

Do not let my husband see this post! It will destroy all hopes for another basset! We always talk about how hard it would be to walk 2 - guess I could quit going to the gym!! (Although I have been a really bad girl and haven't been in months!) Maybe I should get another basset!!
Love the picture, JoAnn!! What an awesome sight - you have a beautiful bunch of bassets!

All you need is a double lead and walking two is no harder than walking one. Make sure the coupler you buy swivels. Then they don't get tangled. Three? ? The triple lead I have is not very user friendly, but the only one I could find. I spend a lot of time looking like an explosion in a spaggheti factory.

Oh JoAnn you have had me in hesterics all while reading this post. I guess I can say that I have had my episodes with the girls also.....and yes, speghetti was the perfect analogy! I need to get myself one of those splicers - oops, I mean couplers. with a swivel. They love to walk, but, most of the time I feel like a trailer running behind two little mack trucks - with steel belted radials on the front short little legs. And forget it if someone else is walking toward us... I have to find a fence, tree or pole to brace myself against.....Some have suggested I take them to obedience school, but then, we wouldn't have all the laughs we do.....and no one in my family seems to have the trouble as I do...I think there are some people to purposely drive down our street to see the girls and the antics they do.....I am still laughing also with the visual of Harley and Hanna too!
