-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Happy Easter to everyone. We dyed eggs with the kiddies yesterday. Sadie celebrated early by stealing and eating 4 eggs shells and all. She then sneaked upstairs and got 2 1 oz chocolate bunnies. Thank doG I heard her and moved the rest. They WERE in a closed room, but I guess one of the kids opened the door. I am expecting a very colorful Easter poop from her.
Today we're going to a basset specialty show in Sacramento, then back here for an Easter Egg hunt and dinner at mom's.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!!!!

Happy Easter to you too! I can't wait to see photos of the easter egg hunt with the kids and the hounds. Those four legged kids sure are sneaky---Lexie has figured out how to get on the couch but she only does it when we step out of the room. So far, she hasn't gotten any table food---Hummmm, maybe that is because I don't cook! ;D What is the speciality show? Do the hounds get to go or is only for the slaves of the hounds?

No hounds involved at all today The specialty show is for show dogs only. Mine would cause a huge distraction and not be well thought of Then down to mom's, hounds stay home again They had their day yesterday. Mom couldn't take the pandemonium and I don't have my racing shoes on today ;D

Good Question Not one photo of a Basset with Bunny Ears! How was the Show JoAnn? I bet that was fun. We never have anything like that here on the Coast. Not asking about the poop! haha. . .

Well Easter at my mom's was great. Good food and the kids had a blast.
Unfortunately the dog show was not to be for us. Hubby went racing the night before and didn't get home until 3 a.m. The race was a 4 hour drive from here and was a night race. His buddy spent the night rather than drive another 2 hrs home. By the time they were up and breathing and I cooked them a huge breakfast it was noon. Too late to make the drive to the show.
June 18th we do OUR Specialuty show and I PROMISE lots of pix of that. We are going to have a Rescue parade. And all rescues that attend will parade around the show ring while a bio of them is read. They will all receive beauitful rosettes with their names on them.
We also do a Chinese auction and a silent auction. All proceeds to rescue. Our club is so very unique in the fact the show people support rescue fully.

A Chinese auction: Many items placed on a table. Each item has a box with a slit in the top of it. Raffel tickets are sold and you place the ticket in the box for the item you would like to win. If you REALLY want an item you STUFF the box with tickets to better your chances. Of course I know of no one who would do that . Greed is a wonderful thing when the proceeds go to Rescue.

Well, I sure hope everyone had a terrific easter! Joann, sounds like you had a great time and I am sorry you missed your show! We went to my in-laws' house. A good time was had by all. Good food, good wine, etc. I had to miss the easter service because Ally was being restless but she loved the choir and tried to sing along. I have ears for Lily and put them on her, but she wouldn't let me get a picture! I tried EVERYTHING!! Well, maybe I will have better luck next year .
