On Tuesday night ABC is premiering it's new show - The Great American Dream.
In this episode one of the dreams is for a Home for Senior Bassets!
I am asking everyone to VOTE VOTE and VOTE some more!
The other 2 "dreams" I remember from the promo is a florist shop (enough of those already) and a theme park for chickens. HUH?
Let's help get a home for the houndies!

Yes please vote. Dawn of the West runs Daphneyland and Devon the girl who is asking for her dream is a volunteer. Scott and I spent the night there last year and what a fantastic place. I have no idea where they get the energy, but the kennels are immaculate, the hounds well loved and cared for individually. Their dream is to build a "wing" just for seniors and let them live out their years in comfort and luv. This would be my American Dream as well. VOTE VOTE VOTE

I have dance tonight. I can record it, I guess you call in to vote? It there is still time when I get home I'll get the # off the DVR and call. I have seen it preview,and we are sending tons of drool so she will win. I admin. a basset group on Dogster I am gonna send out a email to everyone.

OK, what is going on? Their website says that voting online will be open until 1 AM EST and it is currently 11 PM EST.. But it says the voting is closed??

I almost gave up and went to bed by the time they finally opened the voting.
That guy who was trying to open the "Chicken Heaven" pissed me off with his, "There are plenty of places for these dogs to go!" comment. OBVIOUSLY there are not if someone has a dream of giving them a 2nd chance. It drives me absolutely batty when people say things like that.

I voted my limit. I hope she wins. We need more people like her. My dad has chickens and I wouldn't go to a chicken amusement park.

I voted for Devon many many many times. That chicken amusement park thing was completely ridiculous, as were some of those other dreams! I'll watch tonight just long enough to see it when Devon wins over the bald dude.  I really think she will. |

Yes Jenn chickens are nasty. They poop everywhere!!!!! I was so P.O. I set the DVR to record and the local channels were down. They were down tonight so I missed seeing who went home on Idol.  |

That was such a huge disappointment. I saw it and yelled, "WHAT?" at the screen. What is wrong with America? That guy had such a baby face, he could have shaved his head completely and he would have looked like every other 22 year old kid!  |
