You know nothing is ever boring around here.
Tony,my hubby, drives a log truck. Yesterday as he was driving out of the woods to take a load to the mill, he saw a little boy sitting in the middle of the road. so he stopped and got out to talk to the little boy. He said his name was Fred and he was 3. Tony said he had a t-shirt and a diaper. So he asked Fred where was his mom...where did he live. At 3 he really had no clue. So Tony called for one of the other guys to come up there in the work truck so they could find where the little boy came from. There was a house right up the road and they thought that was where he lived, that he had gotten away from his mom to come see the big trucks.Well, that was not the case. They finally found the little boys home A MILE AND A HALF AWAY!!!!!! The front door was wide open,so they beat on the house several time...no answer.Tony said that house was the nastiest thing he had ever seen. You could not see the floor for all the beer cans and bottles.
They got back in the truck and called the cops, as they sat there waiting for the cops to come a man came outside (Tony said looked like crap and was stung out on drugs) and Told Tony and Randy that the boys mother was suppose to be watching him. So they gave the little boy back...the cops were gonna be there at any minute. And they drove up the road. When the police got there they gave their statements and the cops could not believe that the boy was a mile and a half away. And he said he knew which house they were talking about and which man..that he was out on bail for robbery. He called child services and told Tony and Randy that they were on their way,but he was going right then to stay with the boy until they got there.
SO about a hour after all that, the lady from Child Services called Tony and Randy to get there statements, and asked them would they go before a court of law and tell what happened.Of course they said yeah.
So this morning Tony and Randy get a call from Fred's grandfather (on his daddy's side) thanking them for what they done. And he said that the guy at the house was not the boys daddy, just one of the moms boyfriends. And that he was at the courthouse, that they (grandparents) had a appointment with the judge to get full custody of Fred.
Say a little prayer that they get it and that little boy never has to live like that again.
BTW~ You know Tony and I are ticked off at those people. Can you imagine how long he had to be missing to walk a mile and a half!!! I hope they put him mother under the jail!!!!!!!!
Tony and Randy got a call today that said they needed to come to court tomorrow that the mom is now saying that they and the cop are lying. That they never found her son in the road.I don't see the judge believing a word of that. They called back a little later to say they were going to have to set another date.
