There is only one person on this board who knows what our family has been going through. At first I thought I would keep it to myself and let this be a place I could "escape" to. I have found sharing ills and gaining prayers and support are a good thing.
Here goes....................
I have a daughter who turned 34 on Saturday. She has been diagnosed and is being treated for a very rare brain tumor. To say she has been going thru hell would be an understatemnt. We are over half way thru radiation treatments and still have no good prognosis.
She has been doing so much better. No brain spikes of pain or seizures for 2 days now. We had a wonderful birthday party for her and the others in our family born in april on Sat. Her hubby had a party for her and her friends on Sun.
Today she is very ill. I think tomorrow she may have to be hospitalized. She is running a high fever and has a rash all over her body. It is believed the radiation and the steroids she has been on have stomped her immune system to death.
so now you know........... I would ask for all the positive thoughts and prayers you can muster for my baby girl.

My daughter's name is Mary. Her hubby called me early this morning and the antibiotics seem to have helped. I will be leaving shortly to spend the day with her. Fingers crossed for some improvement.
Thanks for all your prayers and concern. It really does help.

I just don't know how to thank all of you for your kind words and prayers. they seem to have done the job. Mary's fever broke last night. No E.R. trip today and she was still able to get her radiation treatment. she is worn out and is not eating much at all. I bought some ensure and ice cream today along with fruit popcicles and her favorite deli meats and cheeses. I am hoping at the very least her hubby can make her an ensure milkshake.
9 more treatments to go. Keep the prayers flowing they are working magic.

The strangest thing... on one of my art boards an artist's daughter from brazil had a similar but different problem... brain damage..... daughter is 26 years old and suffering from a rare infection.
she is doing much better now, too... her name (mom's) is Vera and they are from Brazil. Hopefully she will regain all her functions, but the time and similarities struck me. There IS a healing property in mass prayers, thoughts etc. So keep goin'
