This.............. is Joey...
I'm guessing that baby Joey is about 4 months old. I have to guess, seeing as how I found this lil' darlin' at a local animal shelter..... and I simply HAD to bring him home. (even though we recently welcomed FOURTEEN new basset babies into our already large family of FIVE Bassets, 1 Giant Schnauzer, 2 cats & 5 small human critters!)
This lil' guy was in SUCH bad shape!! It broke my heart to see him there.... 11 hours and counting until he was to be "put down".... sooooooo, home we went.... we gave him the "what for" with the wormer, puppy shots, antibiotics, flea & tick control and a complete head to tail workover. He has put on quite a bit of weight since we've had him (only 2 weeks) but is still quite thin. (we're certain that FOOD is the reason he's fallen as in love with us as we are with him!)
As much as we would love to make this sweetie a permanent resident with us, it just can't be.... so I'd like to get the word out that baby Joey is in need of a new life-long home!
He's a great little boy, loves the kids, wild about the canine playmates and is very interested in the cats!
It would seem that Joey has had a very rough beginning... not only due to the lack of physical care, but he is quite timid and tends to cower at quick movements. He could have been pysically abused as well.
BUT.......... he's fast realizing that he'll not be hurt by any of us and the tail wags more and more every day!!
So that's that..... we're in NW Oklahoma and I'll do my best travel-wise to get him wherever he needs to be.... sooooooooo.... "CALLING ALL ANGELS"!! Please help Joey find his humans!!
I'll post more later and update on the family here... (did I mention FOURTEEN NEW BABIES?)
Till next time............ slobbery drool to all!!
