Mary is in the hospital. I know you are expecting me to be beside myself and I am .... with hope. Thank God for Erich. Mary has been declining all week. Erich once again came to the rescue and pitched a fit and she is in now in the hosp under 3 different specialist's care. We think she will only be in there over the weekend , but if she has to stay thru Monday arrangements have been made to have her transported to Sac for her radiation treatments. The hospital she is in is right around the corner from me so she is close to home. Hopefully we will find what is causing this allergic reaction to the drugs she is on. She is covered in what some would call a rash, but that does not describe how this looks. Her ankles and feet are almost most black.
Don't get me wrong we are so thankful the pain and seizures have subsided, but she is sooooooooooooo uncomfortable.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers and hope we have found the right Dr.s to help her.
One more week of radiation and that too will be behind us.
We are all just sooooooooooooo tired. This has been a rough week. All I have been doing is crying watching Mary slowly fade away. I am praying these dr.s can give her some relief.
Please keep the drool, prayers, and positive thoughts flowing. Thanks in advance for all of your caring and compassion.
Update Sunday afternoon
Mary will stay in the hosp until Monday at the very least. Her potassium level had bottomed out and until that is back to normal there she will stay. Still no answer on what is causing the rash, but they have change ALL her meds again and started over hoping to find the right combo. She is alert today and feeling stronger. In fact she is just a tyrant to be around. She wants out and out now!!!!
Her rash seems to be fading a bit. Of course I think it looks better, Erich thinks it looks worse, Mary thinks it is about the same. So if you have a 3 headed coin give it a toss.
All in all she is stronger. This hospital stay has been a good thing.
