Hi guys,
I entered this last year but didn't win of course. They did send me a nice akc book "wonderful world of dogs" for entering.
The cash prize isn't much but it would be cool to win. You can read about it here:

I was thinking a painting of a big beautiful show quality basset, on one of the cube platform thingies they have, with a trophy and a big spray of mums or something (actually, maybe something more tropical, since this is held in Florida) and the dog is eating the flowers. The dog would have a big blue ribbon on it as being chosen the winner.
What do you think? The problem is, I haven't been to a real show. I need ref photos of what the trophys and ribbons look like.... if anyone can help, please let me know! You can also e-mail me at eelfish1@comcast.net.
Other artists on the board might want to consider this competition, it would be great if someone we knew won! Just don't use my idea. Last year the winner was a retriever or irish setter pup I think in a trophy cup. It was cute, but of course, it wasn't a basset!
