I retired on Friday the 12th of this month after working 28yrs for the same company. This date also happens to be my birthday and our wedding anniversary. So needless to say after a week of parties and a trip to Tahoe I am more than ready to settle into this retirement mode. My hubby boss's wife is a photography teacher at a local high school and knowing how much a part of my life the hounds are made me this gift. These pictures are in a beautiful frame that sits on an easel. Enjoy I will treasure these as Lonnie treasures his protrait of Hannah forever.

Wonderful Gift JoAnn! And on such special occasions! Those are beautiful!
I never thought I would have a painting of an animal in my house but you and I know it's different when it's our hounds! It's very special to have them on our walls. And not to bring a damper on this but they are with us such a short time in our lives that it's only fitting!
David's work is so cheep when you really stop and think about it. My son has paid twice the amount for car stereos!

I have become a basset "crap" fanatic. There is not a room in my house that does not have something basset in it. My family room if FULL of it. I think the hardest part of this retirement thing will be staying off Ebay. My mailman will love me. He is constantly complaining of all the packages he must deliver. I have been put in charge of trophies for 3 basset shows this year. I am letting that feed my basset crap addiction.

haha.. I would do the same if the wife let me! I've got statues galor in my office!
Trophies? How about framed prints? I personally would love getting such a thing. It's like bowling trophies sooner or later they just collect dust.

We try and make our trophes something bassety but usable at the sametime. The last trophies were stained glass basset night lights made by a local artist and were beautiful. The frames portrait idea is a great one. I will have to look into that.

I like the night lights!
Let me know if you're interested in the prints? I know David will give you a good price!
