As if I could give her back......she is such a sweetie. Roscoe likes her too. I was not sure about keeping her, as she needs the costly surgery, and two puppies can be a lot to manage. The vet named her Sophie, and it suits her, so I guess we won't change it. She slept on our bed last night, as we didn't have a crate for her, but we bought one today and I hope she likes it. I have no idea if she's ever been in one. Our neighbour used to keep bloodhounds, and he says maybe that's what's in her besides the basset, as far as the colouring goes. I'll try to post these pictures. If that doesn't work, there's always the photobucket link: s59.photobucket.com/albums/g286/biggbsfan/.

Yes, Vinnie, I have noticed that Roscoe and General look very similar. They are fine looking hounds.
Poor Sophie does not like her crate. She told us so for most of the night. Hopefully she will get used to it and not insist on sleeping with us! But no, she will not, and will have to get used to it. She is a very good puppie other than that.

She is one of the most amazing looking dogs I've ever seen! I was at the office when I saw her pics and had to call everyone over to look at her.
I'm so glad you will be her forever home. I know I sure couldn't give her up. Congrats to all of you.

she's a cross of some kind...maybe a basset/moutain cur (spelling?) but still looks like a basset. Cute and floppy!

Mr. Micwen, I agree with you, she looks like a Tiger Pitt Bulls coloring doesn't she? I've seen many Pitt Bulls that are that color. She is a beautiful hound no matter and her coloring is like I said before, Extraordinary!

My best friend has what I call(for the lack of knowledge) A small breed pitt bull. Muffin is not as big and stocky as the other pits I have seen. And she has about the same colors, just in very well defined stripes all over her body. Although I really do not think Sophie has pit in her.I agree with with the moutian cur. She is a doll neverless, but it would be neat to know what breeds she is. Whatever it is makes for a pretty pup.
