I've been thinking about Lexie becoming a therapy dog. I think that she has what it takes, she loves people and gets so excited when she gets attention. Her little tail wags all the time. Do any of you know exactly what I would need to do or how I would go about doing this? We don't have a basset rescue around and I'm not into showing dogs but I DO want to do something to show her off.

That is a great idea! I've got to go see that site. I think Lexie (and all Bassets would do very good at that) Smart idea! ! !

I think that bassets would make good therapy dogs too? Not that I have met alot but, they sure seem to have the right attitude about them!

I think so too and you should go for it! It will take tons of training but would be VERY worth every minute of it. Lily starts her next obedience class at the beginning of April. I am looking forward to the challenge..lol. She loved puppy class and I just know she will love this next one too.
