Betty you did a great job. Are the hounds going to model them for us or do we have to wait for the faire?

Do you give your wife her birthday gift before her birthday or Christmas, like I do? I have trouble waiting too!

Oh she LOVES IT and she's not even as ate up about this whole idea as I am! The kids where over earlier and thought you did a great job on his outfit. They couldn't believe that this is the first Basset outfit you've done? Of course they humor me when it comes to the Bassets so the whole idea of dressing them up sort of goes over their heads? but they really did love the outfit.

I am so glad and can't wait to see it on him. You can see the things sticking off of the sides are the straps that go under his belly, but you can't see the ones that go around his front...it is draped over the part of the chair that you can't see. The hat is really stiff so unless he decides it is good for snacking it should hold up pretty well.

If Harley ate that hat I would cry and hide from you the rest of my life! haha.
He won't be left alone with it trust me! I could tell the straps And Velcro too. Nice touch!
So any sneak previews on Hanna's outfit? See what you started now. ;D
Oh how did Ally's birthday go?

Thank you so much everyone for the nice comments! I really had a good time making it even though it was hard work. I had to redo things a lot since this is my first try..lol. I didn't get to really work on Hanna's yesterday cuz it was my daughter's birthday, but hopefully I get it finished soon so we can see pictures of them on the hounds.

Harley will definately be a hit - complimented by Hanna once her outfit is completed! By the way, if I hadn't mentioned it before, I really do like the names.....my husband and I both ride Harley Davidsons and when we brought Ethel and Lucy home for the first time, our Daughter and family came from Texas to surprise us and bought each of the girls little leather Harley hats....they were so cute in them, but of course outgrew them - so back to Petco and they were nice enough to exchange them for the larger size! Can't get them to wear other things either. They were our reindeer with antlers for our Christmas card when they were a year old, and too much time was spend trying to eat each others off their heads. So, you are very lucky to have your Fur Babies tolerate getting dressed up. Sure wish L and E would. There is the Patriot Plod coming up in Boston, MA on April 18 from 12-4 to support the Colonial Basset Rescue and it sure would be fun to dress them up while strolling around. After all, up here it will be Patriot's day - Marathon day.
See ya, and can't wait to see the pcitures!

Only 23 days till the Faire. oh lord will they be ready for that? I've been working with both of them with hats and taking them for long walks.. but not with shirts or anything like that? Maybe I should huh? I can't believe how many girl Bassets are named Harley? I should get the outfits any day now. Can't Wait! ! ! ;D
