We got home from the store yesterday and their was a note on the door from Zephers Mommy (Zepher is H&H's babie) even though she said nothing was wrong the note did ask for us to call her ASAP.
I tried to call and only got the voice mail. So NOW I'm beating my head to the wall trying to figure out what is so important?
Zepher got into stagnant pond water when she first went home with her mommy which put her in the Hospital. The young girl just didn't have a whole lot of money for that kind of thing so we paid all the vet bills. Anyways that made us pretty close to this one puppy?

It will be hard but try not to worry yourself sick. I am sure everything is ok. If it were really bad, she would have called you or told you what was wrong in the note!

I'm hoping she just wants me to babysit Zepher. That's one of the things we offer to our new parents for when they go out of town? We don't want our puppies at the Kennels!

That's great! I wish our breeder would do that. I don't want my baby at the kennel either! I wouldn't put my kid in one..lol. I would do it if I found one that I was comfy with, but it is so hard to be sure that they are getting the care they need. What they should do is have those cameras that you can access with the internet so that worried mommies and daddies can watch what is going on! I know some daycares have those now, why not kennels??

I am very fortunate with the fact the kennel we have used (twice) owner lives around the block from us. He also teaches obedience. We live close to an Air Force base and he trains their G.S. guard dogs as well. I do know of a kennel in Texas that does have the camera you can access thru the net. It would be nice if more would follow suit.

Not only would you feel more secure knowing you can watch them at any time, but you could get a "fix" when you missed them..LOL

I love the camera idea! We have a very nice kennel in town with Private Luxury Suites equipped with television and even cable! You think the hounds would like that? I can’t see the wife going for that one when we go to the cabin at Christmas? Maybe she will but I doubt it!

Good luck trying to convince her! ;D That sure would be fun for them though. Do they have a wading pool and a nice place for them to romp?

I need to check on that. Was hoping they had maybe a full body spa. The hounds love their rubdowns! No their not spoiled

Good Morning All, No I called again last night but got her voice mail again? I have no idea what could have been "ASAP" then not call me back? Sooner or later I guess I'll know what it's about

I'm very lucky - I have a friendly neighbor down the block who also has a basset hound, and she ADORES Norton. So when she went away for the weekend, her basset Schatzie stayed with us, and when we go on vacation, Norton will stay with her. It's great because they get to be in a home, with a loving person taking care of them, and another basset to play with!

We are hoping to do the same thing with the family down the street that owns Lulu. She is just the sweetest doggie and I know that they would take great care of Lily just as we would Lulu. I love to see the two basset princesses running around together and they just love each other so much! We walk by Lulu's house every day and Lily always trys to run up to the door.
