Granddog

I thought I would share a really cool moment that happened yesterday. I called my Mother-in-law to talk about visiting for easter. Well, my MIL doesn't really like animals much and she was VERY against us getting Lily. She didn't think that it was good to have a puppy with the baby. Well, needless to say we got her anyway! When my husband was growing up they had Beagles. His father wanted them and insisted but his mom never liked them much. My Sister-in-law has an older beagle named Chopper. When they come and bring chopper with them, my MIL likes for him to stay out on the patio most of the time during the day if it isn't too cold.

Back to what happened. Well, we were talking and she was telling me about their flight back from the Bahamas they had on Saturday. She said she was sitting next to a man that had a bunch of Lilys. He said that he was going to CA to meet a girl named Lily and he hoped they lived until he got there. Well, she told him that she has a "Granddog" named Lily. Then, when I told her I was thinking of taking Lily to Lulu's house while we visited, she insisted that we bring her along because she wanted to visit with her! I thought it was the cutest thing!! I figured this was coming because last time we visited, Lily stayed inside the entire time and my MIL would stop and talk to her and pet her.

This is a great example how a Basset can melt anyone's heart!
