Hi all. I haven't posted much but I do read. My name is Beckie and I am with Suncoast Basset Rescue. I thought I would share our newest fundraiser. I am very proud of it mainly cause Hollis Brown is my hound. ;D Now he isn't a full basset in looks but in heart he is all basset. A little stinker at that. To share a little of hollis's background.I was his 3rd foster home. His first home got him over his mange,his second home laste 36hrs cause the resident hound HATED HIM and I was his 3rd. He was my second foster and in his 20 min he growled at me. He has climbed into the car through an open window for an empty fast food bag. He has lifted the top off his crate ( the kind with drop pins)and bent the door on another crate trying to open it. Peed in the cup holder of my car and not a drop missed. Has stolen 3 roasted chickens and almost got this years turkey. And if you make him mad he will walk away,look over his shoulder at you and then pee. But he is my boy. Even if it took me a year to realize it.  There is some basset in him cause his has the right front legs and according to my vet "Basset ears" |

I have rescued many dogs , I live in the country and every now and then we find a poor scared animal someone has left. I can truefully say they have made some of the best pets anyone could ask for. I hope you are sucessful with your fund raiser it sounds really good.
