Some of you may know that my mom went through a pretty hard divorce about a year and a half ago. I think I might have posted here and asked everyone to send her good thoughts and some drool to help her get through it.
Well, a couple weeks ago, her ex-husband and his current girlfriend were arrested. They were charged with aggravated sexual assault of a minor. They posted bail and got out of jail, but the police seized their computers and any electronics they had in the house.
Last night, they were arrested again. There is a video here:

The 13 year old girl that they are referring to is the woman's cousin. From what I understand, the first arrest occured because the girl and her boyfriend were at the house. Doug (my ex-stepdad), being the person he is, started talking to the boy about the things they had done with this girl (I don't have a lot of details, all I know is that she had sex with the minor and he filmed it). Naturally, the boy got mad and upset and reported it. They posted bail, but their stuff was seized and they were being watched. I guess they got the evidence they needed because they came in last night and took them to jail.
It's just horrible and we are all reeling from this news. It's a bad situation and there is no telling who/what is on those videos or in those pictures. My mom is still struggling with divorce stuff. It was finalized in January of 2006, but he has not lived up to his end of the agreement and she has been in court for the past year trying to get him to pay the money he is supposed to pay, etc.
Anyway, if you guys could, please send us some drool and prayers to help us get through this. Things have been hard for my mom for a long time and as soon as things start to get back on track for her, this happens. I've got a lot going on in my life right now and this is just one more thing on top of that. I have two nieces, age 5 and 3 who used to stay the night with my mom and this guy when they were married.. A cousin (male) who has been over there a lot while his dad works (the woman watches him). We have no idea if these children were involved in anything he has done, but we are praying that they weren't.
Also, pray for the 13 year old that she finds the strength to get through this. She is the one who is affected the most and will have the hardest time. I can't even begin to imagine what she is going through right now.
