Okay, I have been promising an update with some pictures for awhile! Things have been pretty crazy for the past month or so and I am so ready for a break!
First of all, Chris and I are no longer together. He travels for his job and well, I guess you know where this is going. Anyway, the dogs and I left and we are now living in an apartment. It has been a little tough getting used to apartment life again, but we are managing pretty well. There have been NO accidents inside and they are both very good at letting me know when they need to go out (sometimes TOO good..). Basil is having a hard time adjusting to using his inside voice, but I don't think he ever really had much of an "inside" voice to begin with! We are all three very happy here and are enjoying it.
Secondly, the dogs have been so much more well behaved lately. Basil is not such a scaredy cat and Sophie.. Well, Sophie is still Sophie! She is just less intense. She has started to chill out. As a matter of fact, she is asleep right next to me. They're both turning into little couch potatoes, lol. They have also taken to sleeping with me. Chris did not like their dog hair on the bed, so they always slept in their kennels, but because I am deaf, I didn't feel safe with that when I am home alone. Now they keep me awake all night long. Sophie kicks me in the side all night long and Basil nudges my hand if I stop petting him for even 1/10 of a second! Ah, life with hounds.. I have found that letting Sophie sleep with me has also calmed her down a lot more.. She snaps at me less and is generally more receptive when I tell her to do something. I'm very proud of her these days.. But she is going to go and prove me wrong now that I have said this! lol
Thirdly, PICTURES! I don't have very many because all of my pictures are still on Chris's laptop and I haven't transferred them to my desktop yet, but I will at some point. Here's what I do have and I promise to upload more!

Sophie:
(Yes, that alligator was almost as long as she is! I say "was" because if you look at the floor, there is a little piece of tell-tale white fuzz.. I am sure you can guess the alligator's fate)
Both of them together:
Then here are a few random pictures that I have taken.. I just felt like sharing them.
This is my niece, Taylor. She's 5. I was taking a picture of her hair.. She put it in a pony tail all by herself.
This is my other niece, Kathryn. She is 3. If you notice, her hands are bright red. I am not sure what she got into over at Gram's house, but she was VERY VERY hyper. I was actually trying to take a picture of her waving wildly at me, but she got a little shy and stuck her fingers in her mouth.
I'm not sure what kind of flowers these are, but they were outside of a restaurant in South Padre Island. I went there in mid-April because my stepdad's band had a gig there and I thought these flowers were really pretty.
The sunrise on our way out of South Padre Island.
Okay, I am heading to bed now.. I've got to hit a Memorial Day sale in the morning for some mirrors. I'll try to be more active here, but I start the summer semester of school on Wednesday (BOO! I am ready to graduate!) and I really have no idea exactly how busy I will be.
