I have a little something I think I should share, I guess some of you know, I blundered onto another basset web site. You know how I am wanting to send and see pictures, so in Trying to get people to sign my guestbook on the slide shows, (trying to out do my daughter.)A lurker on our web site, has developed a real hate for me,I have definately stepped on someones toes. They think they know me,You know how that goes.I don't think anyone could imagine just how stupid I am.They have been reading our post for a while it seems. I guess ,I have now made them even madder.I have become a little alarmed by this because we have developed into a family way of sharing.I fear for some of you because we are leaving ourselves open to a larger crowd, some people out there are not nice people. Jenn you have told the world you live alone in an apartment .We all have given out so much we should't have. Please be careful. I love you guys and I don't want anything to happen to you. HAVE A SAFE HOLIDAY!!!!

Happy Memorial Day to you and everyone too! (We don't celebrate it here in Canada, but I'm half American.)
Yeah, I've seen you on that other site. I only lurk there and every once in a while comment on a picture or post some of Scully when someone starts a thread asking for pictures. Actually, lately I only lurk on most of these basset sites (I used to post pretty regularly on a few). In general, I know that mixed in with the good people, there are always some out there in cyberland that are full of crap, judgemental, and unfortunately some who are just plain rude! I'm sorry that someone has been nasty to you. I understand that everyone has opinions (especially about breeding) and has the right to share them, but I always hate when things get so ugly! Not exactly an effective way to 'educate' or get the point across. Sigh....
You make a good point to be careful what to share, because it's so true that you never know what kinds of people are lurking out there. It's sad to say, but I'm a lot less "open" to sharing things than I used to be.

I'm so sorry, Helen, that someone is being a jerk to you. Wouldn't it be nice is we could all play well together? I've had a couple of people say things to or abou me that have been extremely unpleasant.
However, I have always enjoyed your posts (here and there) and love the pics you so generously share with us. I truly hope that you don't let a jerk stop you!
I do agree with you about the dangers of posting personal info. I think that cyberspace is still new enough that the dangers invovled haven't really hit home yet. I know of at least 3 times that companies have "lost" my personal info and their solution is always to monitor my credit report. Wow! That doesn't make me feel good in the least. They should bear some responsiblity for their actions. So even if I don't give out personal info on chat boards I know that it's floating around in a lot of places.
As a good friend of my likes to say ' BE AFRAID!" That should be our motto for dealing with the new technologies.
HAPPY MEMORIAL Day! But only half a Happy to you, Mary. lol
