Updates and Puppy Pics

I went to the doc yesterday,and she did a ultrasound. Everything if going great. The baby looked great and was moving so much she could not get me a good pic. I do not have to go every 2 weeks any more I can go every 4 weeks like a normal person.

On the Flash and puppy side of the update I have sad,sad news. Flash does not understand that she is a big dog and the puppies are tiny. She has issues with laying on them. I have to watch her alot, and listen for them to cry. Last night I got on line to come and post Happy Birthday to LuLu and before I got the chance David came running back to my room and told me that one of the puppies had passed away. I went in there and Flash had been laying on one of the little red males. I tried puppy CPR ( I watch way to much animal planet) but I could not save him. I buried him in the back by his daddy. Please Light a candle for my precious pup so he can find his way to his daddy.

So I took the pups from her and she cannot have them unless I am in the room. It takes about a hour and a half to feed both shifts. The vet said not to bottle feed them. IF she minds me and will lay still and feed them then I just have to hover over her. Which at 4 am is no fun. I really don't think she means too, its her 1st ( and last) litter and 11 pups is alot to tend too. I think she just don't understand that laying on them like she does us is not loving them its hurting them.

So I have a long 5 weeks ahead of me. I have never been so ready to buy puppy chow in my life. Here are their week old pics. Pay no attention to the date,I need to change it on my camera.

The darker one is UNO we are keeping her.


And this is Caboose. He is the biggest and we are keeping him too. LOL

I'm glad things are going well for you and baby! I've been thinking about you guys and wondering how things are going.

I'm sorry to hear about the puppy. I will light a candle tonight for him. Poor Flash, I'm sure she's just overwhelmed with the whole situation.. If I had 11 babies, I don't know how I would handle it either! Give her some belly rubs from me and I'm still sending good thoughts your way!

The puppy pictures are just too adorable. I love the one of Uno and the other puppy.. Is the other puppy's ear flopped over his/her head? It is too cute! They all look so BIG in that first picture.

I'm so glad all is well with you and the baby. The puppies are just adorable, but what a lot of work for both you and mama. Fly free with the angels little one.

Yeah Jenn thats an ear. When you pick them up their ears just flop around, it is too cute.
Flash was not herself yesterday, she did not want to feed or anything. I think she was morning.
