your garden looks good. My dads garden isn't doing any good. Now I know where to come for fresh veggies.

What do you have planted in there? It looks really good! I want to start a small garden next year, but I have no idea what to plant or even if the ground is any good for planting and growing food.

You are most welcome to come and get. Jenn, If you want to grow a garden, you better start out slow. Go buy you something you really like, tomatoes or maybe a cucumber plant and try that and them next year try a little more. I've had a garden just about all my life. I'm one of those people that can and put stuff up for winter.I guess you might say I'm a born nester. I don't do much as I use to because all my big eaters have left home ( my kids and there friends)but I feel better just having something put back for winter. also I don't poison any bugs so I know everthing is safe to eat. This is my little spring house ,and the can stuff I canned the last time I had a large garden. I didn't take one of the potatoes but there is a bin next to the can stuff and I keep potatoes there.

Thanks for the idea. My grandma and I both love tomatoes. We eat them with salt and pepper. Maybe I'll plant some tomatoes next year since I know she'll help me eat them.

I gave up my veggie garden about 4 years ago because I ran out of time. I definitely miss picking the produce and eating it either in the garden or 10 minutes later with dinner! I confess, the hounds have overrun where it used to be and it would very traumatic for them if (when!) I reclaim it.
Watch out for zucchini, Jenn, they have a life of their own and produce amazing amounts. Your friends will eventually stop letting you through their doors because you will always be trying to give them extra zucchini!

Haha. My papa (mom's dad) has a big vegetable garden and he tries to unload squash and zucchini on all of us kids and grandkids! I am a vegetarian though so a vegetable garden would be the ultimate dream.

The squash and zucchini is so true, Our pastor says every year please lock and roll up your windows its that time of the year or you well be ambushed with bags of s and z. I make zucchini bread and I use to get to enjoy it. Unfortunately it is full of sugar and I only get to smell it now. I love to garden if I had help I would put out acres.

Well if Jenn wants to make the cross country trip I'll go with her and bring my 6.
Imagine how exciting it will be when they all howl.

What a great garden! I don't have the space for a garden :/ not without taking away houndie space anyway. Plus, they'd probably eat all the veggies they didn't trample

Cindy it's so good to see you post, love your new hound picture ! There would be no garden if the hounds could get to it. I have fences, Bear the lab can get to the stuff , he must be watched or he well carry off veggys, he also gets in the neighbors, I guess you can say he is not welcomed and I get calls no one gets mad, they think its funny so far. I find all kinds of his stolen loot in the front yard. I don't know how he carrys some of it, like a large watermellon once. I have to let him out the fenced in lots, cause he want go potty back there , so while hes out, he's working the neighbor hood.
