I usually get to work early so I can let the houndies romp around the shop before the work starts. Elvis was standing by one of the machines woofing is fool head off. I went over and looked under the machine but the only thing I saw was some dust bunnies. Didn't really thing they were that interesting.
Elvis gets more frantic and starts going from one side of the machine to the other still barking like a crazy dog. I laugh at him and get on with other things. Well, a while later I come out and he has hunted & killed a poor little lizard. I wish I'd seen it - I would have relocated it outside. In any case, Elvis is very proudly guarding "his kill" and Georgia sneaks up and steals it away from him. He's such a wuss - he let her do it. Finally we got it and threw it in the trash. I just couldn't see spending the day wondering where it would turn up next!

Elvis, The Mighty Hunter!!
LOL........ It is so funny how they are proud of their kill. I wonder what the deal is with Bassets and lizards, frogs, and turtles? I know Flash has issues with them.

Lizard hunter LOL, don't they just make your day. What kind of shop do you work at must be dog friendly, haveing your dogs there. If I took my houndies anywhere that would be all I could do is watch them. Bless you , you must be tired after a long day.

Way to go Elvis! Those lizards are icky, I can't handle them either.
I have this mental picture of your hounds playing hide and seek with that poor lizard.

I'm lucky - I own my own business so the dogs are more than welcome! The building I rent has a dog run out back so they can stay out there part of the day and then come in and sleepin in my (yeah right - their!) office. They have all the employees and visitors wrapped around their dainty little paws. Everyone knows that they give the houndies a biscuit before anything else is done.
It's a dog's life!

Thats just perfect I was I could do that, my houndies love to meet new people. All I see is my neighbors when I walk and the dogs only see people that come here. We lead a quite life.
