We picked Miss Pitstop Friday late morning. She was still very weak and not eating much. This pic is very blurry but I think you can see she is just not feeling well. She slept most of the day and all night. Saturday I was still worried as she just wouldn't eat much at all. Saturday evening she turned the corner and pushed Sadie out of the way trying to get her kibble. That night she ate 1/2 cup of boiled rice and chicken yay We got to keep her all day Sunday and Sunday night. Sunday morning she greeted me in the kitchen looking for breakfast. We had Scott's b.d. party Sunday afternoon and she was the hit of the day. Asking for pets and pats. Here she is watching the festivites After everyone went home we went out back and she TROTTED across the yard This morning I really wish I had had my camera as she had a good roll in the grass. I took these before I took her home. I think you can see how much "brighter" she looks. I think in a couple weeks you won't even think she is the the same hound. Such a love bug I am just in love with this little girl

She is in Basset heaven! She has never been treated so good. I agree in a few weeks she will be a whole new pup. YOu should give yourself a pat on the back for making her life better. I know we are all sending you one!

She looks like a completely different hound than the first pictures you posted! I think the blurriness of the first picture is just her giving off her, "I feel like poo" vibe.
She looks so much happier and I bet she is going to positively be a queen at her new home!

I think it is so hard for us to understand what some of these furbabies go through before we get them. Even though Dart has been with us for a while and knows he is safe & loved his insecurities will occassionally pop up.
This week hubby is on vacation & I have been working nights instead of days. I can tell that this small change in routine is hard for him. Some extra biscuits help!

The older we get the better we get. She is a beautiful girl I'm so glad her life is getting better. Pat you self on the back for taking care of her, you have a good heart.

It's good to know she is doing so much better. Pictures really do say alot .... cause you are right ... she looks like a much happier and healthier hound.
Way to go on helping her, JoAnn. Please keep up up-to-date on how she is doing.
