I'm glad I'm leaving for vacation in two days. The past week has been pretty craptastic. On Monday, Chris and I had a long talk and I found out some more things about his, uh.. infidelities so that was a difficult talk. He and I are trying to be friends but at this point, I don't even want to see him. I feel like I am losing a really good friend over this whole mess.

Then Tuesday, I went out to lunch with my supervisor and she told me she had found another job and her last day is August 24th. Our company has not been doing very well lately, which is why she is leaving. I asked her about job security for me and she said, "You didn't hear this from me, but find another job as quickly and quietly as you can." Great. So I have been applying for jobs on Monster.com and I'm still looking. This is such a pain in the butt!

On top of that, my grandma will not stop feeding the dogs human food. I keep having to yell at her to not feed my dogs. She says, "But look at them, they look so hungry." Well, duh. They are bassets! I finally sat her down and said, "Do you let your dog eat table food?" She doesn't and she finally got it, so I haven't seen her feeding them again yet, but AAHHH!

Just two more days.

I know what you mean this has been one of those weeks, our lawn mower quit and we had to get another one and it cost more than we could afford, my son was told by his boss to look for a job cause they were closeing in three weeks,jobs around here are imposable to find,and its at least 100 degrees outside and the dogs are so pitiful they can't stand the heat....I can imagine just how high my electric bill well be...and it goes on and on...
I sure hope your vacation goes well Jenn ,If its this hot here I can imagine how hot it must be in florida.Take a lot of pics and have a good time cause things just got to lookup. As for Chris , I thinks its time you moved on, someone that loves you would have at least keep alot of his foolish behavour to him self and would have known that he was hurting you. Look around I'm sure there's better out there sometimes change is a good thing, maybe the new job and new love well be so much better.Oh, don't worry about the dogs grandma is really listening ,we tend to get anoying as we get older just ask my daughter.

There must be something in the air. I woke up so tired today from all the nonsense that's been happening lately that all I wanted to do was crawl back in bed and sleep the day away!

I'm sorry that Chris is being a jerk. It's always hard to lose a friend.

And job hunting is the pits! Any chance that your supervisor is wrong? I don't know what type of work you do, but can you find another job where you are or do you have to think about relocating?

I was so glad to get back to bed last night. I hope everyone is having a better Friday! Mine's been okay so far. It took me an hour and a half to get to work (it is usually a 30 minute drive) but I have cupcakes so everything is good!

Unfortunately, it does not look like my supervisor is wrong. I work in the billing department and she is the finance director, so I feel her word is pretty reliable. We have been having some cash flow problems for a little while anyway, but I had kept getting told that things were going to get better, we were going to get this new customer, etc.. And I guess it is just not panning out, so it is time to move on.

Anyway, it is Friday now and I only have one more day until I leave for vacation! LESS THAN 24 HOURS! This time tomorrow, I will be in the air. I still haven't found my lucky shirt though
