The woman who runs the Montana basset rescue has been evacuated because of the Black Cat wildfire that is out of control in Montana. Leslie does most of the work single handedly and she is a wonderful person.
She managed to get all her dogs and horses out, but only some of her cats. She doens't know yet if her house was burned. What a terrible thing to not know.
Please send drool and keep Leslie in your prayers. She needs all the support we can give her.

Leslie was allowed into her property briefly and managed to rescue some more of the cats. Miraculously all her buildings were spared. She's hoping to be allowed back home on Tues. or Wed. The fire is still raging, so if the winds shift - again - it could change the time table.

Mostly good news, thank doG. Leslie's property wasn't burned - I guess the fire baiscally jumped over it. She is back on the property but can't sleep in the house until it's professionally cleaned.
One of her cat's paws were burned by hot asphalt (at least I think that's what caused the burns). Noahs wish was there and took over the care of the cat.
Unfortunately she injured her arm and it is bandaged. She's now trying to get her life back to normal with one arm! I am hoping that she has friends and neighbors who can help her out with heavy lifting.
I watched the progression of that fire and it was crazy. It's truly a miracle that there were no deaths and very little property damage.

That is good news. I hate to hear about her arm and the poor cats paw,but I am sure she is not upset about that, it could have been so much worse. I am so happy to hear that he house is ok.
