Yep, I need more drool. Its Caboose this time. These bassets are gonna do me in!!!! They were outside with my kids this morning and I went out to check on him and he was just sitting there.I could tell by the look on his face that he was hurting,so I brought him in. He has a huge HARD baseball size....lump type thing...behind his ribs on his left side. And his has been throwing up. So I freak out and call the vet.He says it could be a number of things, from air to he ate something that is stuck in there.Which after talking with my kids I found out that he had been chewing on some tree bark. I told him that he had been moving around and drinking water. He said as long as I can get him to drink that he will be OK until morning. And if the lump is still there to bring him in. As the day has gone on he has gotten to feeling better. Please say a little prayer that it is not the bark and he does not have to have surgery.
Not to mention, I spent most of Friday night at the hospital. We were all outside and Caboose and the white pup headed toward the road.I told them to stop,so Caboose did...not the stubborn white one. So ran after her and tripped and fell ON MY BELLY in the road. I came in and called the doc and she told me to get to the hospital. So Tony rushed me over there and thank GOD the baby is OK. I stayed there hooked to the monitors for awhile, but they let me go. It has been a crazy weekend, and we would be grateful for your prayers and drool.

What a weekend you've had Kristol!!! I'm so glad the baby is OK - what a scary experience that must have been.
Lots of drool for Caboose. Why do I get the feeling he'll keep you hopping for years to come? I hope it turns out to be nothing and that you don't have to go see the vet.
I'm glad that a couple of the pups were adopted locally so you can hear about their adventures. I can understanding you wanting to keep the remaining 4 - I would've had a hard time giving up any of them! We're sending drool that great homes come along for the last 2.
TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks.... I was just telling Jenn on the IM that Caboose's knot has gone down since I started this thread. It is about a 1/4 of the size it was. When I went in the living room he was chewing on Sugar's tail. She has stuck to him like glue today. She takes care of him ( I think she knows he is not all that bright. ) Anyway I'll post again in the morning, hopefully it will say NO KNOT!!!!!!! I have never been so ready to see a dog poo in my life.

First ~ I am so glad to hear that you and the baby are doing ok. I remember those fetal stress tests and they are not fun but let you know really quick how things are going. You and the baby are in my prayers that you stay safe and healthy for the rest of your pregnancy. And I know you don't need to hear this, but, please take care of yourself and slow down just a bit. Make your boys run after the dogs for a while ... they like to run anyway, so it will kill be good for them and the pups. And if they (the boys) don't listen, just tell them that the coon ass fairy will get them while they sleep. Glad Caboose is getting better. I think Elvismom is right ... he probably will keep you going for many years to come. Let's just hope he is a little brighter than LuLu. Again ... take care of you and that baby. Lots of drool and prayers coming from here in Oxford!

Thanks...
Caboose's knot IS GONE!!!! He made tons of poo last night. And he was feeling good this morning. I called the vet and he said that he should be ok. If he is pooping than there is not blockage. Just to keep a eye on him. I am SO glad that he is ok!!!!!

Yeah CAboose!!! Another bullet dodged.
Are you still feeling OK? I'd hate to think you had any delayed reactions to your fall.
