It's been a very bizarre couple of days. I shut down my home computer Wed. night and when I got up and turned it on it sadi the config sys was missing or corrupted. I rebooted several times, but no go!
So I got to work yesterday and the server for our printers gave us mysterious messages. We finally got that resolved and we lost 1 leg of our 3 phase! That was truly strange because some equipment worked, some sections of some equipment worked and some was dead.
The electric company was doing some work and did something that caused probelms. We got it back and they crashed it again.
At that point we decided to call it quits. Please send drool that today isn't a repeat of yesterday!

I went out an bought a laptop as a backup. That was a major pain. I have to have dial-up because my house has no wi-fi available. I can't even get cell phone reception. Trying to find a clerk who knew enough to tell me that "yes, this has a modem" was an ordeal.
And, of course, the roads were filled with idiots getting ready for the long weekend.
I'll be very happy to get home and hide in the closet. lol Hubby is basically gone for the weekend working at a jazz festival. Just me & the pups. That I can cope with!
Have a great weekend everyone.

I am computer stupid so I am no help!!!
Lucky you...just you and the pups. Nots not anything like that here. My sister in law had a death in the family ( I am watching my neice and nephew for the weekend) so RIGHT NOW there is a 10,7,4 and 2 year old watching toons in the living room on blow up matresses and all 4 pups are joining them. IT was pretty loud here today,I cannot wait to see what tomorrow holds.

Yike, Krisol, you have a seriously FULL house. Hope everyone plays well together.
I bought a laptop yesterday but can't get it to connect to the internet. Luckily my partner is going to get it set up for me this morning. Didn't want to miss 3 days of basset news!

I gave up trying to get my laptop to connect to the interenet last night and brought it in for my computer guru this morning. It took him 3 hours to get through all the crap that came preloaded.
If it takes someone who KNOWS what they are doing that long how do these manufacturers expect us illiterates to do it.
I am so incredibly pissed off!

There is nothing worse than buying something and having to be a brain surgeon to get the damn thing to work. My mom got a new laptop last week for work and she is feeling your pain. Her computer guy is getting hers ready too.
BTW...Yesterday was crazy. I took all 4 kids, and met my other sister in law and her 3 year old and went to the Zoo. To say it was CRAZY.....well times 10!

I had the house to myself most of the weekend. It's always a nice change of pace. Even the houndies were lazy!
Kristol, I haven't read the zoo thread yet but I bet it will be fun!
