Hey Guys!
Sorry about the absence. It's safe to say that after the storm so many things changed down here and with our family. We're doing well but maybe a bit preoccupied these days? Hounds are doing wonderful although I had to find a good home for Hennessee. Our house and yard is still a disaster, the insurance money ran out after the roof they had priced everything we needed at Pre_Katrina prices and so it just wasn't enough and honestly with everything in a shambles there wasn't enough room for the wife and I and four dogs??? Harley, Hanna and Haley are all doing great. With the weather turning towards fall we are starting to see the "Puppy" come out in them again. They do love the cooler days!
I guess the big news is since the storm we've had two more grandchildren! Both Girls. And I've got a new Government Job!!! That's really big news. Prices down here changed overnight and my old job wasn't cutting it anymore so I transferred over to FEMA for more money and to help with the recovery going on. Love the job! Never been happier to tell you the truth. The other one was falling apart around me. Bad management so the stress level was getting worst every day.
Oh and I'm sorry about all the little x's on the forum. We let the SouthernBassets website expire maybe a year ago, so that's why the forum looking so bad. I'll try to fix it back to the way it was after I see about getting my website back up? It's so nice to see everyone still talking and enjoying the place! And I really am sorry about being gone.
We hit the two year anniversary for Katrina a couple days ago and you'd be so surprised to see that not that much has really changed around here. But spirits are high and there are still a lot of groups that come down to help which is always a welcome site. I'll try and get out and take some pictures one day? I hear New Orleans is even worst? They seem to be going backwards.
Well I promise to check back in on this post to see if anyone still remembers me? haha.. and I'll try and see what's going on with you guys on the other post so I can catch up.
