My husband is on a plane as we speak headed to Manhattan, Kansas for a job interview with the Sports Medicine Department of Kansas State. This is our third interview this summer (the others were in California & Nebraska) and I am just ready for the job hunt to be over. Please send us some good luck drool ~ we could definitely use it. Never thought I would want to live in the land of Oz ... but I just want him to be happy with his job, which is not happening now. So, if you have time, please say a little prayer and sling some drool our way. Maybe next post I will be saying we are changing LuLu's name to ToTo and moving close to Uncle Henry and Auntie Em.

Thanks for the good luck drool everyone. Please keep it coming ... we won't know if he got the job for a few weeks. I hate this part ... the waiting is worse than anything. He said he feels like his interview and the process went really well, even felt good about his meeting with the coach. So now we just wait ... so please keep us in your prayers and keep positive vibes and drool headed our way.

If he gets it ... If, If, If .... LOL ~ then we would probably have about 3 weeks to get packed up and move. Can you imagine what a circus we will look like moving with infant twins, an 11 year old, 1 basset hound and 3 cats all the way from Mississippi to Kansas? ;D

Will the new job pay for relocation? I would so be hiring movers!
We're still sending good luck drool and we have fingers, paws and any other appendages crossed!

Well ..... He got the job!!!! ;D ;D Y'all must have some powerful good luck drool ~ cause it surely worked for us. We will move from Oxford to Manhattan, Kansas on MOnday, October 8th. We officially found out this past Friday ... so it only gives us a little over two weeks to get packed up and get gone. The job is going to reimburse us for some of the move ... maybe about $1,200 of it. Just renting the moving truck is going to run us a little over $800 ... and that doesn't include filling up the 50 gallon diesel gas tank. Hiring movers would be great ... but just not realistic for us when you live on a budget, have 3 kids and with me not working for a while after we move. Anyway, we will make it all work ... we will just have to. Now is the hectic part ... trying to find somewhere to live from way far away, finish up with my job and somehow find time to pack up our home. Not to mention my 11 year old daughter is now crying daily because talking about moving and it actually happeneing are two totally different things. Well, that and daily taking care of things that are just part of life now with infant twins. Please continue to keep us in your prayers ... I think this will ultimately be a good thing for our family ... but change is hard and even hitting me much harder than I thought. I wanted this move, and I guess I still do, but moving and starting over are so difficult to do. Thanks, everyone ... y'all are awesome!

Congratulations on hubby getting the job!!!!
I don't envy you moving - there is just nothing fun about it! And with 3 kids - YIKES! - I can't even imagine.
Does Lulu approve of it? After all, her comfort is the most important!
Let us know how things go. Lost of drool to get you through the chaos.
