Hey guys, I have a pretty important prayer request if you don't mind. My cousin (my aunt's son that lives in FL) is having a very rough time right now.
A friend of his was shot at about 9:45 yesterday morning. He was skipping school and laying in bed with a girl (girlfriend? I am not sure..) and another friend of his was on the top bunk. The story right now is that the friend on the top bunk was playing with a gun and it went off and accidently shot the boy on the bottom bunk. The shooter is claiming it was an accident, but the boy was shot in the head between his eyes and the placement of the wound is leading police to believe it wasn't an accident. He died at about 7 last night. Their friends also say it was not an accident, they say it was done on purpose and that there was a witness. My cousin tried to call the girl who was in bed with the boy, but all she could say was, "Frany got shot, Frany got shot" over and over.
If you can please say a prayer for the boy's family and also the shooter's family, I know it is much needed. Please pray for the girl who was next to him when he was shot as she was there when it happened and she is the only one (other than the shooter) who knows the truth right now. Please pray for all of their friends.. They are athiests and they feel they have no one to lean on to get them through this.
Also, please pray for my cousin. Even before this happened, he has been going through some problems. He has been so angry and hateful towards people and he has been skipping school. My aunt is taking him to a psychologist to hopefully find out what is going on, but he is just full of hate and resentment right now. He really needs to find some kind of peace and happiness. I know it's hard to be a teenager, but it shouldn't ever be this hard.
If you don't pray, please at least keep them in your thoughts. We (the family) are very worried about my cousin and the path he is going down in life, especially now that something like this has happened and it could so easily have been him.
