A very good friend of mine, Shannon, lives in Baton Rouge and is having a baby boy about the same time as I am. Her sister was expecting her 1st baby, another boy, too. Her baby decided that he wanted to come 1st and was born on Friday. 3 months early. He weighs 1 pound and 7 ounces. I talked w/ Shannon briefly yesterday and the initial test are good. Of course he has a machine breathing for him, but all his other organs appear to be OK. PLEASE pray for him, he can use all the prayers and drool he can get. I'll talk w/ Shannon soon and update. THANKS EVERYONE

Lots of prayers and drool for Shannon and her son. It's truly amazing what modern medicine can do with preemies!

I am sending tons of prayers and drool! That is an awful situation to go through, but I know that little boy is strong and will fight. Keep us updated.

UPDATE: Ok, I reread what I typed and it confused me. Shannon is my friend who is due the same time as me. She is also having a boy. Her sister Sarah is the one who had the baby early, who is also a boy, His name is Cade. Ok now...... I talked to Shannon this mornign and Cade has gained a ounce, and everything is going good. She said all his organs are working just fine and the machine is only taking 12 breaths a minute and he is doing the rest. However they were gonna do some scans today to look at his brain, they think that it is ok, its just something routine they do when they are that little. And they were going to try to feed him this morning too.
Thanks for the prayers, I know they really need it. I'll keep the updates coming as I get them.
BTW...off topic but I talked to Kelli Saturday, and Today and they have made the big move, they are unpacking and getting things going there. But they are all doing good.

I'm glad that Cade is OK and getting better every day.
It must be really hard on everyone to go through all they'll have to go through. But hopefully once he's home they'll only have good memories.

I love the name Cade. I'm glad to hear he's doing better and that he is breathing on his own too! Tell Kelli I said hi next time you talk to her! I hope the move wasn't too stressful.

Thanks, I'll tell her. I'm sure she'll be back on here too. I know how crazy moving can be, but with 3 kids and LuLu...not to mention the cats. Whooo she has her hands full.

I called and got an update today. Cade is doing very well. He is eating and gaining weight. His eyes have started to open. He was like a little pup, they were still fused closed when he was born. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers, keep them coming.
