I have a job interview today! I also just found out that I have about 2 weeks at my current company before my position potentially goes away, so please cross your fingers that I find something before then!

Lots of slobbery drool being sent to you. Is it a job you want or is it a job you're interviewing for thinking you might be unemployed?

Thanks guys.  I went in for the interview and left at about 3:30. I got an e-mail from the person who interviewed me about half an hour later offering me the job and asking me to start on Monday! It's not my dream job.. It's a filler job until something better comes along and yes, it is a pay cut but not as big of a cut as I thought it would be (THANK GOD!). I won't be able to get my dream job until I graduate with a degree, so I will always have jobs like these until then. Anyway, thanks guys! I am going to work tomorrow and telling the big boss that Friday will be my last day. I spoke with him earlier today to let him know I had an interview and he told me not to bother turning in a two week notice.. If I turn in a two week notice, he has to pay me for two more weeks so he would rather that I just leave. The interviewer called me a blessing in disguise because I could start so early! |

Congrats - even if the dream job is still a few years down the road. Hope this will be a steady paycheck til then!
Glad you don't have to do the 2 week notice routine. I've found that unless I have to train someone to take over that it's really just killing time.
