Has anyone heard of a basset having acne? Lexie has a small rash on her tummy and our vet lady said that was what it was.

Really Acne? Never heard of such a thing!
What did the vet tell you to do about it?
One of our hounds had a rash on their tummy but we just used some people A&D ointment on it and it went right away! That stuff works wonders!

That is exactly what she said---treat it with people ointment and if it got worse, she would need a antiobotic. So far, that has done the trick! I wonder if yours had acne also?

I just thought it was something like pine needles they was laying in?
Maybe that sounds better for the vet to call it acne? haha..

The vet sent Lexie home today with medication for her acne on her tummy. She said that it may go away on its own but since she has stitches in her tummy, she did not want the acne to itch and her pull at the stitches.  |
