Sampson started limping on his left back leg lastnight. I doesn't look swollen and I check between the pads of his foot and coudn't find anything. I will take him to the vet this afternoon. Does anyone have any suggestion what it could be? [

Oh and what a pretty boy he is too!
The only thing I can think of is that Harley does the same thing when his nails get just the slightest bit to long? See if that may be it. And if so, expect for Sampson to still limp on it for a day or two after you trim his nails. I guess it gets stuck in their minds they are crippled? ? ?
Let me know how it works out? Lonnie

Sampson is just about limp free. I had to take the puppy to the vet and they told me to give him a low dose asprin but with the bath and toe nail clipping he is fine . Thanks for the suggestion it worked.

GREAT! I remember the first time Harley pulled that on me I was scared to death! After I checked him from foot to hip and found nothing? So glad he's better!
What a good looking Basset! We need more pictures.
