Hello to everyone, I have been reading your wonderful and caring messages for the past 10 months, however this is my first post. I lost my dear sweet (and stubborn) Bubba basset boy on February 6, 2004. He was a beautiful tri and we had him (or rather he had us) for 12 wonderful years. My husband, Larry and I live in Las Vegas. Larry originally comes from Kansas and has had Bassetts all his life. We were married in 1991 and we got Bubba in September 1992. He was my first dog and the love of my life. I hope this posting of his photo works. He was quite the handsome boy! Take care everyone. Reading the posts and viewing all the Basset photos have been so very helpful. Bonnie (Posted by Penny for Bonnie)

Bubba will for always be in our hearts and minds. You are missed by so many who never really knew you but have been touched by the stories and memory brought to us by your family. And Bonnie, You are home with friends and family now

Thank you for the kind words...I do feel at home here at this web site. I have never been able to express exactly how I felt and how I remembered Bubba after he passed this past February. I have been holding it all in and becoming very sentimental about Bubba. This web site has helped me to come to terms with his loss. I will continue to post photos and I am in the process of writing a memorial for Bubba. More to come. Thank you all again. Bonnie

I'm so happy that it helps Bonnie. I had no idea when I started this board that it would actually "help" people, but it has in so many different ways thanks to such warm and loving people.

This has been my only experience with a message board and it certainly has been an uplifting experience. I so enjoy reading about everyone's Houndies and their adventures! I love all the beautiful photos too. I am currently writing a remembrance for Bubba entitled, "Do you remember?". It should be ready in a few days. Thank you for listening.
