Chairs and Couches

These are my couch taters:

We can't even sit on the couch anymore, it is like the world's most expensive and large dog bed. If you look hard, Sam is on the left. They love their blankies, and they get upset when we wash them and febreeze everything! Basset stink must prevail everywhere!

and when Steve was talking about Em in the recliner, I had to post this one so he knows what he has to look forward to. This one is old Susie, my hubby is attempting to fit in the chair but of course they never move.

That looks all too familiar. We have lerned that once you have claimed a spot on the couch.. DO NOT MOVE!!! If you do it is lost forever. We have delveloped amazing bladder control in this house for the sake of saving our "spot".

Oh boy, can I relate to those pictures! They're very cute.

Our bladder control has increased by about 200% around here also. Scully is quite the couch/bed hog. And for some reason, she always wants the spot that we are in.....go figure. And the thing that drives me nuts is that if I have to get up, when I come back I not only find that she's in my spot, but she has also licked the only remaining inch of couch so it's soaking wet when I try to squeeze myself in there.

Licked the couch? That's diabolical! Emily sleeps with us unless she won't calm down and you are right . . . move and she will take your spot. But, at this point anyway, a good shove and we can reclaim our due, unless she gets hyper again.

When that happens, we've found an unusual trick; cover her with the blanket a couple of time and when she finds her way out, she, for some reason, calms down.

This was Sam last summer. It had started to rain lightly but he did not want to vacate his chair on the deck. So we added the umbrella.
