Well People what big plans do you have for your hounds come spring? It officially starts March 20th! Ours will be attending MANY downtown Festivals starting on the 27th with the Ocean Springs Herb & Music Fest! (They love that one) But the big one's coming up at the end of April The Renaissance Faire!I have to get busy finding costumes for the hounds. Harley will be a wizard of course and the girls Maidens! That is so cute!!! I miss those fairs. I haven't been to one in years and used to go every year in Kansas City. I wonder if there are any here in Florida...hmm.

Love the picture - so royal!! It's great they allow dogs at some of these events. I've taken George to an art festival - but he wasn't too interested in the paintings - he tends to try to steer us toward all the food tents! He really seems to love to be around all those people - tail high and wagging. And of course, just loves everyone to stop and pet him! The South Florida Basset Hound Club is having a St. Patrick's Day Picnic March 21st in Pompano Beach. It'll be my first basset event and I can't wait!! I'll try to take some pictures to post. Yeah, I missed Suncoast's waddle BOO! But plan to attend next year. I am trying to volunteer for them but nothing has come up yet for me to do except pass out a couple of cards and try to let anyone that I find that wants a Basset to go to them..lol. I don't want to foster ONLY because I have an infant and am unsure about bringing a basset strait out of the pound into the house with her but when she gets older, that is tops on my list. Instead I am doing home inspections for any breed rescue that might need it and also transport here and there. I know they are having an even in Tampa soon and I think I might attend. My In-laws live there and my MIL would love it if we came to visit Little does she know it would only be for the dogs! LOL.
Dave, do you know where I can get some info on the renaissance faires? Does the SCA (society for creative anachronisms) have a site? I used to have some friends that participated when I lived in MO but don't know anyone here.
