Hi all! I made Lily's spaying appointment for April 20. I know it is still a little over a month away but I am pretty nervous already. I know it is a routine procedure but I guess everyone gets nervous when their baby is having an operation! Any words of wisdom on how I should care for her when she comes home?

Our babies are so close in age it's funny that we think alike. I took Lexie for her shots yesterday and made the appointment for her surgery also. She goes at the end of the month. I'm sure that both of them will be just fine.
She went from 13 pounds to 22 pounds in one month. Is that good guys? I don't want her to get too big.

I panicked the other day when Juliets neck swole up and ran her to the vet. They said something had made her have an allergic reaction. They wanted to keep her for a couple of hours. I thought I would pass out. But, I left her convincing myself it was for her betterment. I felt even better when the vet personel did not want to give her back because they were in love with her. I think that can make all the difference in the world, the vet you use. If you are trusting with them and they like animals, not just assembly line them. I feel like I would with my doctor. If I do not trust them, or have a bad feeling, I am outta there. If you have a compatant and concerned vet it should be ok, to know they are as worried as you in a way!..Or at least that is what helps me. Oh and ask questions to help set you at ease on what will go on. I ask a million and the vet is very helpful, never shrugs me off. He always says they rather see pet parents that ask too much than not enough. Hope I helped. Thats what helps me from having an anxiety attack is telling myself those things bfore vet visits.....Heather Mom to Juliet
