Any big Basset Plans for the weekend?

The hounds are helping me pick up the back yard.
I could throw a stick all day and they would look at me like I should go get it cus I threw it?

Now when ever I drag a limb to the burn pile Hanna runs along holding on to the back part helping me drag it!
She's so proud of herself. Daddies little helper!

How sweet---mamma needs a helper.

Lexie too loves to drag limbs and we have them everywhere. I'm thinking that will also be my job for the weekend. As long as it's pretty, Lexie will be tied up (just until we get our fence built) watching.

When it's nice the hounds refuse to come back inside!
So here you are picking up 50+ lb Basset to get them back inside!

I think after the last two days, I may go get myself a good massage on Saturday and then maybe a manicure and then lay around the rest of the weekend. Well, as much as the munchkins will let me lay around..lol.

How do you do everthing that you do? You research showing dogs, you have kids, you are making wonderful costumes and you still find time for a massage. Now I know I must be doing something wrong.

My husband has his last six basketball games to referee this weekend so I am home alone with my little demon. I'm not sure I will survive because it takes both of us to entertain her.

My wife and I are attending a small dog show this weekend. Its being held by the Eastern Kentucky Kennel Club. Hambone is going along to meet his handler. We look forward to seeing all the bassets. If I can remember I'm going to take pictures and I will share them with you as soon as I get them uploaded. I plan to relax Sunday...Key word is Plan...With our kids and the bassets all you can do is plan. Everyone enjoy their weekend.

Oh, yeah, the navy is great..LOL. My husband is on deployment AGAIN!! And will be almost the entire year. Blech.

Today was his birthday and they are in port (not here) and he has duty so had to stay on the ship all day and all night tonight while his shipmates go stay out in town. Poor guy doesn't even get to have a beer on his birthday.

Oh man, no beer on your birthday?! Now I know why you stay so busy! It's wonderful that you have other hobbies to occupy your time!

I'm with you, Betty!! I'm going for a haircut and manicure - no better way to start the weekend!! (other than a nice cold Miller on Friday night!)

I am so excited about this weekend! Sunday is the South Florida Basset Hound Club St. Patrick's Day Picnic -and it is my first Basset Event!! I just can't wait till tomorrow!!
George had his "manicure" yesterday and is getting a bath today. Want the hound to be presentable!
I'll take lots of pictures and post later.
