My little Lexie will be 4 months old on the 20th and has to always be on my lap. We play ball, she gets on my lap. She has a treat, she eats on my lap. She plays with her toy, she sits on my lap. Well, you get the picture. I was wondering---do the older pups still think they weight 10 pounds and make your laps the only place to rest their butts? I'm just wondering what am I gonna do when she weighs 50 pounds?

yes, your lp is permanently their lap...and my emma, 37 lbs thinks it is perfectly fine to come stand on my chest when i am lying in bed. or she still thinks if she surls and wedges that her butt will fit entirely on my lap.

Consider yourselves lucky! I have basset named Rhonda who still thinks she can climb me when I'm reclined and perch herself on my shoulder! No kidding! She did this as a puppy and still wants to now that she weighs about 30 pounds. I hate not letting her, but her paws and toenails digging into my neck don't feel very nice.

Thank goodness Lillian only likes to roll up and cuddle next to me. But there are times when I have the baby and a cat on my lap at the same time. I don't know what I would do when she gets big if I had her, the baby, and a cat on my lap at the same time..LOL.

That is about the cutest picture I ever saw!!! What a great card. I didn't even think about it being her birthday! I hope she gets some good cuddle time and an extra treat today.

She is wired for sound this morning. She has run through our den like someone was after her. For some reason, she will not just lay down and take a nap. It's like a child, I can tell when she is getting tired because she gets so irritable and as soon as I put her in her crate, she falls fast to sleep. I guess she fights it!

She doesn't want to miss any fun! We have days like that with Lillian too...lol. I had started putting Lillian in her crate while my daughter was napping and now she is on that schedule. Right before naptime around here there are two very grumpy babies that need to be put down but Lillian won't nap until Ally is in her bed..lol. They just love being together and follow each other around the house all day long. The only problem so far is them stealing toys from each other..lol. Ally will take them from Lillian and later Lillian will take it back. Sometimes Ally will take something from Lillian and throw it about a foot away and Lillian will go get it. Then Ally will walk over and take it again and it starts all over. They will do this all day long. It is so funny and I love watching them do it! I even took some video of it one day..LOL.

How perfect. The way Lexie acts, I could not imagine another puppy in the house or a toddler. You get a gold star from me---WHAT A WOMAN!

Ok I'm hanging around you girls too much! I'm starting to use the words "Sweet" and "Adorable" even when I'm not talking about Bassets! Not good, Not good at all. Oh I missed Lexie's 4 month birthday picture. That is so sweet. Betty I left you a message
