Well, we had our first experience with the gentle lead. My intentions were to put it on her a few times before we tried to walk but since she acted like she wanted outside---out we went. She plopped down on the ground and would not budge. I coaxed her with a pocket full of treats to the other side of the yard and she did it again, down she went. All she wanted to do was take her paws and try to get the lead off her nose. I figured we had had enough so--I CARRIED her into the house. 22+ pounds and I carried her. I guess we will try again later. I really want this to work.

I've owned a few different pure breed dogs in my life and the Basset is the hardest I've had to train? But SO well worth the effort don't you think.
Hang in there your a good mommy!

when we go for a walk we cannot leav the front of the house until emma has sniffed everything...everything. cloe is ready to go but emma will not budge until she is ready.
